Us

We are a shared use, licensed facility. The 1400+ square foot kitchen has a 10-burner gas range, two convection ovens, walk-in freezer and refrigerator, and ample prep space with eigtht prep stations.

Kitchen members will be encouraged to work with small business assistance organizations and complete food safety certification classes. East Side Community Kitchen will work closely with the city health department and other resources to help startups complete the proper licensing requirements. East Side Community Kitchen members are able to lease time in the kitchen on a short term hourly basis or as a long term resident with a monthly lease. This flexibility can suit the need of an established caterer who needs additional space for a particularly large event or overbooked week, or a long term resident who produces food products as a part time job or hobby and prefers to remain on a small scale. East Side Community Kitchen also provides a perfect incubator for startup businesses. Leasing on a short term basis can allow an entrepreneur to test the market and their products before making a large financial commitment to purchase their own space and equipment.
